💪 Fall Is Pretty Much Here & It's Time To Level Up!
Summer is almost behind us, but the fall season brings fresh energy; a new season and mew opportunity to aim higher, reset intentions, and make your goals a reality.
No matter where you are in your career or personal life, leveling up is all about achieving greater success. When you succeed, you make yourself proud. You also set an example and inspire other women.
So let's break down how you can level up in career, finance, health, and more!
How to level up your health
Let's be honest, as women, we often put our health on the back burner. We ignore the tickle in our throats because we have reports to finish and deadlines to meet. We work through headaches because we have to pick up the kids. You're probably reading this and realizing you forgot to eat!
Let's change that now and start prioritizing our health.
Meal prep and nutrition
Preparing your meals in advance means you can select foods rich in vitamins, protein, and other nutrients for a balanced diet.
To meal prep, simply make a list. Start by deciding what meals you want to eat for the week—this includes not just lunches, but breakfasts and dinners, too. After you decide on your meals, make a grocery list of everything you don't already have. From there, you can shop, come home, and prepare your meals.
With your meals prepped for the week, you can effortlessly eat healthy and improve your health.
Working out
Did you stick to your workout routine over the summer, or are you just getting back to it? Whether you're starting over or getting back to fitness, begin with a workout routine you enjoy.
The gym can be a great source of motivation, but other workouts like rowing, pilates, dance, or karate are also great sources of cardio. If you want to improve a specific area of your fitness, like increasing muscle mass or training for a marathon, consider hiring a personal trainer (build it into your budget).
If you're looking for a less intense way to level up, consider increasing the number of steps you take in a day. Research shows that aiming for 7,000 to 8,000 steps a day is a healthy goal.
No matter what you choose, make sure you prioritize these moments in your life.
Mental and emotional health
What does mental and emotional health mean to you? It might mean spending more time on hobbies you enjoy or feeling safe and secure in your daily life.
Consider prioritizing your mental and emotional health by:
Journaling
Meditating
Listening to calming music
Talking to a therapist
Doing a social media detox
Remember, leveling up also means taking care of yourself from the inside out.
How to level up your finances
We know you've been working hard on improving your finances, so let's take things up a notch.
Know your net worth
Start by understanding your net worth, which is your assets minus your liabilities.
To find out for sure, use a net worth calculator like this one from Bankrate. And if the number isn’t quite where you’d like it to be, don’t stress. Many of us start there. Think of it as a starting point, and focus on small, steady steps like paying down debt to move in the direction you want.
Achieve investment goals
Creating and achieving investment goals is a big part of how to "level up" as a woman.
If you're already an investor, decide how much you want to invest in the coming one to three years, and then adjust your spending and budget to reflect that.
If you aren't investing yet, now is a great time to start, even if you start small. Either way, keep an eye on your investments, adding more money when you can and maintaining a conscious plan throughout the investment process.
Plan for retirement
Retirement may seem far off, but it comes faster than you think. Start planning for it by deciding how much money you need to save or invest to live off of in retirement.
Once you know your retirement "number," you can begin making a plan to save enough. Even if you feel like you won't be able to save as much as you'd like, get started anyway. More opportunities will come your way as you advance in your career/business and set clear intentions.
Create passive income
Passive income can give you financial breathing room by ensuring money still comes in, even if you take time off or can’t actively work.
While it’s not completely ‘hands-off,’ most passive income streams require some upfront effort, time, or money, but that investment can pay off for years to come. Some popular ideas to explore include:
Selling digital products online (like e-books, templates, or courses based on your expertise)
Even if you make a good amount of active income, passive income can be your security net in times of need.
How to level up in your career
What you do for a living may or may not accurately reflect the pay and life you desire. The good news is that you get to decide how to move forward, adjusting your career to fit your financial goals.
Pursue a promotion or pay raise
Pay raises are standard after you've been with a company for at least a year. If you haven't received one, advocate for the amount of money you deserve for your work.
Perhaps the job you want doesn't exist, or you simply want to work for yourself. You might be an entrepreneur at heart. If so, this is great news for your finances and career.
As an entrepreneur, there is no limit to how much money you can make or how large of a company you can build. While it takes hard work and dedication, you can achieve your entrepreneurial dreams.
